Abstract:
Back on Track - Libraries and Reading
Where
is it all going and how will the National Year of Reading Help?
Kate
Mosse , best selling author, looks at authors'
attitudes to libraries and talks about how they can work with libraries
to build reading audiences. Most novelists are more interested in
extending and developing both their readership, and those of others,
so the fact that libraries lend books - rather than sell - is not
important. Libraries offer a much better way to engage with local
community and of really getting word of mouth going.
