Impact, Inclusion, Information:

the value of libraries in their communities

This year's conference which explores the importance of community involvement in the development of library services. Speakers from a wide range of backgrounds will provide insights into the impact of libraries on individuals and communities through work with young people, health, digital neighbourhoods and much more.

 

The conference is aimed at senior library managers, directors and elected members whose portfolios include libraries.

 

Highlights of the programme will be:

  • Terry Ryall, Chief Executive of V, the young people's volunteering organisation

  • Visits to a choice of libraries and community centres to see examples of inclusion in action

Public Library Buildings Awards 2009

The winners of these prestigious awards will be announced and presented during the conference by author and raconteur Gervase Phinn.
