Angela Abell

Biography

Angela has responsibility for business development and undertakes research and consultancy in areas associated with the business value of information and its effective exploitation. Consultancy work has included the development of information and knowledge strategies and information auditing. She writes widely on knowledge management and other information related subjects, presents at national and international conferences and develops seminars and workshops.

Angela has a wide range of professional experience and interests having held senior information management posts in the public, private and academic sectors. This includes eight years with an engineering company, the development of a broking and consultancy company, and extensive work with the SME sector. She is a visiting professor at the University of North London and on the advisory board of Sheffield University Department of Information Studies; a member CILIP, the Institute of Management Consultants, the Special Libraries Association (USA) and is a fellow of the RSA.
