Biography
Marion worked for Hertfordshire Libraries for many years before joining the former Library Association in 1997. Whilst in public libraries she was involved in library automation and in staff development and training; both issues figure significantly in her current role at CILIP. During her spare time she is studying for a Masters degree at the Institute of Education, but prefers recreational reading to course reading.
CILIP's new qualifications framework and its role in contribution to workforce development.
Abstract
Marion will discuss the findings of the consultation exercise of the Certification and Revalidation Schemes, and their impact on the development of the Framework. She will also update delegates on the progress on the remaining elements of the new Qualifications Framework (the Knowledge Base, Chartership and Accreditation).
