Biography

Since February 2003, David has managed a range of community-focussed activities in the London Borough of Newham as part of the Culture and Community Directorate. Prior to this, David was Director of the London Libraries Development Agency and has also held a number of library services posts in and around London.

Abstract

Library Services have the potential to lie at the heart of the key agendas for local government. And occasionally they do. But what does this mean for the people who work in libraries, at all levels? Untold opportunity - or unfocussed frustration?
