Membership of CILIP allows fast track access to the Librarianship and Information Sciences Service collection held in the Humanities Reading Rooms at the British Library, St Pancras.
To gain entry to this collection you will need to apply for a readers ticket. Before a pass is issued you must provide proof of personal identity which must include an address and a signature, as well as your CILIP Membership card:
- Proof of signature must be a bank or credit card, passport, driving licence or national identity card
Proof of address can be a utility bill or bank statement (applicants not resident in the United Kingdom must provide proof of their main address).
