CILIP takes a strategic approach to its international work, coordinating its activities throughout the organisation. All international projects and links are evaluated in terms of their benefit, either directly or indirectly, to members. Secretariat staff carry out much of the day-to-day work, but important issues are discussed and determined upon by the Executive Board and the International Panel.

Libex - International Library and Information Job Exchange
LIBEX acts as a clearinghouse for library and information staff who are interested in arranging job exchanges with LIS professionals in other countries.
