Chris
Russell
Biography:
Chris is a founding Director of eDigitalResearch with responsibility
for business development, account management and financial operations.
The company was founded in 1999 and was created in response to identifying
a niche in the marketing space as numbers of internet companies
were rapidly increasing with little appreciation of their usability
and customer experience. Chris has a business degree from Kingston
University, and on graduating, he moved into sales and marketing
for Smiths Foods and British American Tobacco and later formed his
own company in 1986. Clients he has worked for numerous blue-chip
companies, including the BBC, Trainline, John Lewis, and Tesco.
These commissions have given him a unique view of the UK
digital consumer and the eShopper in particular. Chris is
also a member of CIBER, a Senior Visiting Fellow at UCL and helped
to design the Digital Consumers Course, which is taught to UCL students.
