Why attend the Briefing?

CILIP's e-Copyright Executive Briefing tackled important issues and provided a forum for in-depth presentations and informed debate. In the year since CILIP's first eCopyright Executive Briefing, much has happened – not least the publication of the Gowers Review final report. This considered whether the UK's intellectual property regime is fit for the digital age.

Publication of the study on the Recasting of copyright and related rights for the knowledge economy by the Institute for Information Law for the European Commission has also reviewed the entire acquis communautaire with regard to copyright and related rights.
