Planning changes to your library?

This fully participative workshop lays the groundwork for library design, planning and building improvement projects. Using case studies delegates will find out how to evaluate space needs and identify options for improvement.

An integral part of the day will be a visit to Manchester Central Library to carry out a Visual Scan, where delegates can put into practice the knowledge learned.

Following the success of the two previous Briefings held in London, Alex Cohen of Aaron Cohen Associates, and Diana Edmonds, Assistant Director responsible for Culture, Libraries and Learning in the London Borough of Haringey, have kindly agreed to repeat it once again, this time in Manchester.

Past delegates rated the last Briefing 84% Good to Excellent, with the two speakers rated 90%, and 87% believed it met their objectives. Among their comments were:

•  Excellent day that gave thorough insight into the topic

•  Helpful…and the speakers were excellent

•  A very enjoyable day and stimulating presentation

•  Enjoyed the provocative comments

•  Lots of ideas and practical help with the theory
