David
Tebbutt
David
has been in the IT world for over 40 years. His principal interest
is software. He is now best known as a journalist and communication
skills trainer. Previously, he published software, edited Personal
Computer World and taught management skills. Before that he pursued
the traditional computing career from programmer to IT manager.
His
contact with the library world has been primarily through his writing
for Information World Review although, in 1980, he started a library
initiative called ComputerTown UK.
In
recent years, he has spent an inordinate amount of time in the social
computing world of blogs, wikis, web 2.0, library 2.0, Second Life
and so on. Although officially an observer, he just can't resist
getting his hands dirty too.
