Bob Bailey

Biography:  Bob has spent over 28 years in Library I.T. specialising in Library Service and Library Product design and development. Originally drafted into the Library IT department at the University of Durham he went on to hold senior positions with Geac, Oriel and Apak before starting his own business in 1993 dedicated to providing added value solutions to libraries. This start up business specialised in bespoke development. Photographic Imaging systems, Self service and Security solutions. Originally the company became UK and European supplier for the RAECO Australian Self Service products but now all products are designed and developed in house.

Over the past 5 years the company has utilised its extensive Library and I.T. experience in conjunction with Plescon to develop an RFID solution named ORFID.

RFID users put vendors on the spot about new developments that will affect the installation and use of RFID in UK Libraries.  Following a moderated panel discussion the floor will open for delagates to participate in a final Open Forum debate.
