Biography
David
S. Jacoby,
President of Boston Logistic, has been consulting to manufacturers,
distributors, supply chain software and service providers, and carriers
in over a dozen countries for 18 years. He
holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a Masters in International
Business from the Lauder Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in
Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Past President
of Boston APICS and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals'
(CSCMP)'s New England Round
Table.
He
also is a Director of the Institute for Supply Management
(ISM)'s Logistics and Transportation Group, a member of the International
Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA)'s Ptak Prize Selection
Committee, and
a member of the American Society of Transportation and Logistics
(AST&L).

: Privacy and security - Videolink presentation
How
the use of RFID systems can raise issues of privacy and security
will be tackled by David Jacoby, author of the recent Economist
Intelligence Unit report RFID Comes of Age. Using
a live videolink direct from Boston, he will explain why these concerns
have been raised, and their potential impact on customers' privacy.
