Biography
Dilys
Young has worked in public, FE and HE libraries
for almost 30 years. She is currently Service Development Manager
for Libraries & Learning Innovation at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Dilys led the RFID implementation project at Leeds Met during the
summer of 2006 when over 350,000 items at three libraries were tagged
in 16 weeks.

Dilys
will present a case syudy on how RFID in the libraries at Leeds
Met has improved the student experience, extended the services offered
throughout 24 hour opening and used leading edge technologies for
providing enhanced security. She will also outline future
plans for increasing the return on investment through
stock
management and exploitation.
