Abstract:
Return on Investment - Who's Getting Value for Money?
The
results of a survey of RFID projects by libraries in the UK are
presented. The discussion covers the systems selected, costs, uses,
benefits gained and the value of implementation, both in terms of
RFID as a transactional tool, making library tasks and processes
more efficient, and RFID as a transformational tool, making library
services and libraries' societal roles more effective.
