Nick Lewis wins first BIC/CILIP RFID in Libraries Award

The Award recognises and RFID innovation or and installation of real merit in a UK library in 2007.


The Group's chair Martin Palmer presented Nick with the Award for his advocacy of RFID technology, through his oversight of the self-service and automated sorting implementation at the University and his involvement with JISCmail.

Nick was project manager for during the installation of the largest and most advanced automated sorting system yet installed in the UK, which was provided by conference sponsors Intellident. Examples of system are shown below.
