Biography
began her career in management training with Marks and
Spencer, before moving into the library profession in the early
1980s working both in the UK and Australia. Her most recent
post was Executive Director with the Queensland State Library before
she began work as a retail and library consultant. She now
specialises in culture change and leadership development.

investment, operational management and staffing – as well
as library users? What are the implications for staffing, responsibilities
and training?
Fiona will investigate how users can get the best possible return
on their investment. She will look at the challenges faced in integrating
RFID into a library’s core activities.She will sound out a
warning on RFID implications for service culture and stagnant processes
and considers how to enhance transformation through new leaner ways
of working.
