MLA
The
Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) is the lead strategic
agency for museums, libraries and archives. We are part of the wider
MLA Partnership, working with the nine regional agencies to improve
people's lives by building knowledge, supporting learning, inspiring
creativity and celebrating identity. The Partnership acts collectively
for the benefit of the sector and the public, leading the transformation
of museums, libraries and archives for the future.
Department
for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform
This new Department leads work to create the conditions for business
success through competitive and flexible markets that createvalue
for businesses, consumers and employees. It drives regulatory
reform, and works across Government and with the regions to raise
levels of UK productivity.
RFID
CENTRE
The
RFID Centre is an independent information and demonstration visitor
centre for Radio Frequency ID, Wireless and Mobility solutions.
Through our regular executive briefings and seminars we provide
an impartial, factual guide to these technologies and how to best
deploy them to achieve business benefits.
BIC/CILIP
RFID in Libraries Group
Book Industry
Communication is an independent organisation sponsored and part-funded
by the Publishers Association, Booksellers Association, the Chartered
Institute of Library and Information Professionals and the British
Library to promote increased efficiency in the book and serials
supply chain, both physical and electronic, through the application
of standard processes and procedures and e-commerce. The BIC/CILIP
RFID in Libraries Group is working on standards for the structure
and content of RFID tags in library and trade applications. It manages
the BSI Identifiers and Metadata Committee.
