Tony Rice 

Biography: Tony has over 25 years experience of working in a variety of roles for Westminster Libraries.  He is currently leading the “Transforming Libraries” project which includes the implementation of RFID technology and is in the middle of introducing self service facilities in the 4 busiest lending libraries.  The first of these went live as recently as the 22nd October with another due to go live before this conference.

Abstract: Westminster Libraries - New Adopter

Westminster City Council is introducing self-service to four of its libraries this autumn, and addressing issues of service delivery and value for money as a new adopter.  How has the libraries team approached the project?  What are their expectations, and how do they expect to benefit from the investment?
