PROGRAMME
TO FOCUS ON
MAKING
THE MOST OF RFID
Programme
development is underway for CILIP's fourth annual RFID in Libraries
Conference with the theme Making the most of RFID. One key
issue will be the problems and opportunities that integrating LMS
and RFID systems can generate. This was identified as a topic
of special interest by delegates at last year's event, which attracted
more than 190 delegates and was rated 95% Good to Excellent.
There
will also be Case Studies plus the presentation of an
exclusive international RFID Trends Report. The
programme will also feature how best to integrate RFID technology
into traditional and new build libraries, the library users' perspective
of RFID, and presentations on RFID's role in stock management and
the increasingly important issue of tags. One highlight will
be the BIC/CILIP RFID in Libraries Group Award for innovation
or technical excellence with a Showcase Presentation by
the award winner added to the programme for the first time.
Sponsorships
are available including RFID Demonstrations with more spaces available
this year. A
Blog
has also been launched for the event, which will be regularly updated
with news and comment. Delegate booking will open shortly,
but for more information contact conferences@cilip.org.uk.
