Abstract - The Academic Experience - moving ahead with RFID

This paper will explore the distinctive features of managing academic libraries, and the ways in which RFID can enhance library services.  The experience of installing the Bibliotheca RFID product in conjunction with the Horizon library system will be used to illustrate the opportunities and challenges, from the point of view of user service, as well as that of the staff responsible for technical development.
