Courses in library and information studies currently accredited by CILIP

CILIP accredits undergraduate and postgraduate library and information courses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Successful completion of an accredited course will help you get professional posts in the UK and elsewhere in the world. It will also enable you to register to Charter with CILIP.

The primary purpose of accreditation is to confirm the relevance of the course to current and developing practice in librarianship and information science, including in very specialist sectors, and thus improve your employability.  Courses are assessed using the Accreditation Handbook and the CILIP Body of Professional Knowledge

Please contact CILIP for the latest information on the accreditation of courses: quals@cilip.org.uk.
