Five steps to Revalidating

1. Ensure you're a current Chartered Member or Fellow of CILIP.

2. Complete a Revalidation registration form and send to The Qualifications and Professional Development department, CILIP at Ridgmount Street.

3. The Revalidation is assessed every three years but you may keep a continuing professional development log with examples of training and learning from experience.

4. At the end of the three year period your portfolio application should consist of an application form, your final continuing professional development log, a CV, a letter of support, a personal statement, and evidence of training and professional activity since gaining Chartership or previous Revalidation. In addition you are encouraged to use the CPD audit sheet to help you reflect on and evaluate the outcomes of your learning experiences.

5. Submit your portfolio and include your achievement in your CV and at appraisals.

The Revalidation discussion list keeps you in touch with other candidates and news from CILIP.

Candidate Support Officers (CSO) are there to help.
