This course provides a full grounding in copyright basics.
Beginning with the basic principles and concepts of copyright law.
The course content is continually updated to take account of recent and forthcoming developments.

By the end of the course participants will have:
- a good basic understanding of copyright and its various exceptions and limitations
- knowledge on how to provide a service without breaking copyright law
- an awareness of the issues arising when one is not able to identify or locate the copyright owner
There are plenty of opportunities throughout the day for delegates to ask questions and to share their experiences of copyright issues. But please be aware these can only be answered in a general rather on a specific case by case basis.

Paul is Head of Research at the Economist Intelligence Unit. He is a member of the Libraries and Archives Copyright Alliance, and a Visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University.
