The centre contains a current awareness collection focusing on the library and information sector and the needs of the library and information professional.
As well as reports, consultation documents, directories and statistics, we also hold a complete set of CILIP guidelines, publications and leaflets, all Branch and Group journals and key professional journals.
All the material is catalogued on our library management system, Heritage, and can be accessed from the computer terminals within the Information Centre.
The book collection has been classified using general subject headings, e.g. copyright - these are listed under 'class' on the catalogue.
To maintain currency, we only retain the current edition of monograph publications. Journals are held for three months to two years depending upon their size and the frequency of publication.

The Information Centre is open to CILIP members and bona fide researchers (the latter by appoinment only) Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
