Knowledge Management (KM) involves the acquisition, storage and transfer of knowledge within an organisation.

"Communities of Practice" explains what a Community of Practice (CoP) is, and gives different examples. Five stages in the development of a Community of Practice are set out, and guidance on establishing a successful CoP is offered. A brief overview of CILIP Communities is also provided.
