We don’t issue refunds or make adjustments to Direct Debit payments once a member has joined or renewed their membership for a 12-month period.
CILIP membership is non refundable. It is not viable for CILIP to adjust membership fees for each member as their circumstances change and/or if they change their mind about wishing to be a CILIP member within the membership cycle. The fee is set according to the amount a member is earning (or expects to earn) at the time the subscription becomes due and is applied for the whole of that year’s membership cycle.
If CILIP has failed to provide the membership service or has incorrectly charged the set annual fee, CILIP will of course refund this amount, taking in to account the months of services delivered/used.
Occasionally we will issue a refund if a member is experiencing severe financial hardship or if their circumstances are exceptional. All refund requests need to be put in writing by email or post:
