Yes. You can remain a CILIP member while you are taking a career break, whether it be to recover from ill health, to look after a family or to travel.
By remaining in membership you stay up to date with developments in the profession and keep in touch with colleagues. We have a special
subscription rate
for members who aren’t working. And when you decide to return to work we can help you with professional advice, refresher training and job seeking.
