Holding your meetings and events at CILIP 2018

The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) has its London offices at 7 Ridgmount Street in Bloomsbury.  Situated in a well-connected location off the newly refurbished Store Street, between Tottenham Court Road and Gower Street, CILIP has a number of rooms providing space for meetings, training and larger scale events.  The rooms are available for half or full day hire to our branches and groups, individual members and others.

Our rooms

The Charter Suite

Located on the first floor, the Charter Suite is air-conditioned and double glazed.  It is ideal for larger group events and can accommodate up to 100 people in a theatre/lecture style set-up.  

Charter East and Charter West

The Charter Suite can also be split into two smaller rooms.

The Lorna Paulin Room

Ideally suited for training purposes, the Lorna Paulin Room is equipped with 11 PCs.  Named in honour of Lorna Paulin, the first woman President of the Library Association, this room is located on the second floor and is air-conditioned and double glazed.  

The Ewart Room

The Ewart Room is our Members’ Lounge, located on the ground floor.  It is mainly used for lunches and refreshments but also provides a great space for receptions and networking events.

 Discounts

CILIP branches and groups receive a 100% discount on the hire of one meeting room.  Further rooms booked for the same day will be charged.

Individual CILIP members receive a 10% discount on meeting room hire.

Facilities

We provide writing tablets, white boards and induction loops free of charge.  A range of other equipment is available to hire:

Discounts

CILIP branches and groups receive a 50% discount on equipment hire.

Individual members receive a 10% discount on equipment hire.

Accessibility

The CILIP building is accessible by steps or ramp and all rooms can be reached by lift or stairs.  Accessible toilets are situated in the basement.  Please let us know if anyone in your group has particular requirements by entering them under the ‘Setup’ tab on the MRM system.

Location

CILIP is close to a number of underground stations: Goodge Street (Northern Line), Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern Lines), Warren Street (Victoria and Northern Lines), Russell Square (Piccadilly Line), and Euston Square (Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines).  Euston, King’s Cross and St Pancras main line stations are all within easy reach.

We can provide refreshments and working lunches in your meeting room or in the Ewart Room:
