CILIP Survey on Police, Surveillance and Libraries, June 2008
CILIP had received a number of reports concerning increased police or other security agency activity with regards to libraries and their users. We sent out a short survey to heads of library services in June to establish whether there were any issues causing concern to librarians regarding user privacy, censorship and freedom of access to information.
