CILIP's Learning Task & Finish group developed this statement. Council approved the statement on 29 April 2008.

CILIP Statement on "Intellectual Freedom, Access to Information and Censorship"

Council approved a position statement on Intellectual Freedom, Access to Information and Censorship at its meeting on 29 June 2005.

CILIP Statements on the Information Society

The Information Society is a professional policy priority area for CILIP, as agreed by CILIP Council at its meeting on 5 April 2006.
 
 
 
Executive Advisory Groups were expert groups appointed by CILIP to investigate key policy areas and make recommendations to CILIP on their policy and activity in these areas. The reports are important statements regarding these policy areas and contain analysis and key messages. However some of the reports are now dated and the agenda has moved on.
 
CILIP statement on the value professional library and information staff bring to a public library authority
 
A report commissioned from Patrick Conway by CILIP and published on 28 May 2008. It investigates whether 10 English public library authorities continue to provide a professional level of service following widely publicised major restructurings each has undertaken and seeks to draw out more general lessons on professionalism and its place in public library services.
 
Health Strategy Group statements
