CILIP administers the Mitchell Memorial Fund. Loans from this Fund are available to members wishing to obtain qualifications which will further their professional careers, by full or part-time study The Fund is small so loans are not made to students who wish to gain a first qualification in library and information studies.
The amount of a loan will not normally exceed £1000, and is normally payable over a single academic year by three instalments early in each term. Applicants who are studying part-time or by distance learning may ask for the loan to be paid over a two-year period. All loans are interest free.
If you are not sure if the course you are entering is eligible please contact the Qualifications and Professional Development Department for advice.
