1. When you apply for
Chartered Membership
you must be a current
Associate Member
.
2. Complete and submit the
Registration Form
to Qualifications & Professional Development, CILIP, 7 Ridgmount St. London WC1E 7AE.
3. Find a
mentor
and then submit your
Personal Professional Development Plan (PPDP)
within six months of your registering.
4. Your plan will cover 1 to 2 years of professional development depending upon whether you are a Pathway 1 or 2 candidate. If you are unsure which category you come under consult the
Chartership handbook
or contact the
CILIP qualifications office
.
5. You will find the
audit sheet
, designed for
Revalidation
candidates, a useful document to identify learning experiences and to start evaluating.
6. If you think you are eligible to backdate any experience and training, contact the
CILIP qualifications office
and discuss with your mentor.
6. When putting together your portfolio and writing your statement you may refer to the
assessment form
that will be used by the
Chartership Board
.
7. Once you are ready to send in your portfolio, complete the
submission form
and send to Qualifications and professional development, CILIP, 7 Ridgmount St, London WC1E 7AE
8. From sending in a portfolio to becoming a Chartered Member can take between two and six months, and sometimes longer. The
