CLSIG is a special interest group of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals and all CILIP members are entitled to membership of two special interest groups free of charge as part of their membership.
So, if you want to swap from one of your existing groups to CLSIG, call CILIP on 020 7255 0600 and ask for the Membership Department or email: membership@cilip.org.uk
It is also possible to pay for membership of additional groups at the very reasonable annual fee of £3.80 per Group.
If you are not a CILIP member, but would like to take out membership of CLSIG, this is possible at a subscription charge of £25 per year. Non-CILIP membership form to CLSIG (pdf, 45kb).
The Group shall be able to admit, at the discretion of the Group Committee, persons who cannot otherwise be Fellows or Associates of CILIP as affiliated members of the Group on application of such persons. Such affiliation shall be open to those who wish to take part in the Group's activities without becoming full members of the Group and therefore members of CILIP
Such affiliates shall have rights in respect of the Group as the Group Committee shall from time decide, shall pay an annual subscription to the Group, have information regarding the Group circulated to them as necessary and have records kept of their membership but shall not:
have the right to vote at any meeting
have the right to hold office
be the responsibility of CILIP
