CoFHE Mid-West Circle Introduction
CoFHE Mid-West Circle is a regional circle of the Colleges of Further and Higher Education Group [CoFHE].
The aims of CoFHE Mid-West are similar to those of the national parent group which exists:
'to further the development, strength and understanding of libraries, librarians, and librarianship in institutions of further and higher education and within the library profession as a whole.
CoFHE Mid-West offers a local forum in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and North Wiltshire where local issues are discussed, local events organised and members encouraged to meet and exchange ideas. It offers a vital link, through CoFHE national committee's Circles Liaison Officer and the regional representatives, for local issues that have national importance.
The Circle holds 2 events a year: the Summer meeting includes the AGM and the Autumn event is normally shared with the BBO section of the Universities, Colleges and Research Group.
