We've also just added the new edition of the Diversity Newsletter to our Newsletter section. It has news about the CILIP's Anthony Thompson Award, Positive Action Trainee Scheme and the evaluation of the Diversity Group.

Access All Areas?: Disability issues in libraries
Diversity 2008 Conference: 'Access All Areas?: Disability issues in libraries' Monday 9th June 2008, V&A London. With Commissioner Ziauddin Sardar from The Commission for Equalities and Human Rights as keynote speaker.

Diversity Group evaluation
The Diversity Group has been running a review of the group's activities. Currently we produce 3 newsletters a year, organise a conference every two years, take part in Umbrella and do the Diversity Awards at Umbrella.
We asked you to give your views on what the group should do in the future. The evaluation form (MS Word - 32KB) was due to be returned to Karen Berry by Monday 30 June 2008.
We will let you know the results of the evaluation in the near future.

Celebrating diversity in libraries and information
The Diversity Awards 2007 were presented at Umbrella 2007. The Diversity Awards give library and information professionals the chance to gain national recognition for their work on diversity.

Diversity Group at Umbrella 2007
The Diversity Group participated at the Umbrella Conference 2007: “Catalysts for Change – making a difference” in Hatfield. (Website: www.umbrella2007.org.uk)
