Aims

To represent members of the library and information profession involved in supporting education and lifelong learning

Objectives

- To provide a forum where relevant issues can be discussed and disseminated

- To support the professional development of members through a program of meetings and events across the regions

- To ensure communication with members through the production of relevant publications and a discussion List

- To contribute to, inform and respond to national initiatives concerning education and lifelong learning

- To encourage collaboration and exchanges of ideas amongst information professionals throughout the education sector through liaison with relevant LA Special Interest Groups and related organizations

- To develop and sustain an international perspective through the establishment of links with relevant organizations overseas
