Umbrella Conference
ELG is hoping to sponsor one ELG member to attend the Umbrella Conference 14-15 July 2009 at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.
This year’s conference title is:
Making Connections: the power of people, partnerships and services

The sponsorship will cover the full cost of the conference including accommodation for one night and the conference dinner at RAF Museum, Hendon on the 14 July. It does not include travel expenses.
To be eligible for the sponsorship those applying need to be members of ELG. Applicants do not need to be in a specialist post or be a qualified Librarian or Information Specialist. Priority will be given to ELG members who have not attended Umbrella before. Current ELG committee members are not eligible.
To apply for the sponsorship, applicants must write a short (max 500 words) supporting statement stating why attending the Umbrella conference will be important for their professional development.
The person awarded the sponsorship will be asked to write a short report for the Education Librarians Group about their experience at the Conference.
