HLG unites all those working or interested in library and information services for medical, health, nursing and other allied health professions, for people with disabilities and health problems, for those who are housebound or in residential care, and for carers and patients in hospital.
It is one of the largest Special Interest Groups within CILIP, numbering over 1500 members.

New Conference Director and Programme Lead

EBSCO Bursary for MLA Conference
HLG are pleased to announce that a £1,500 bursary, sponsored by EBSCO, has been granted to Katrina Dalziel BA (Hons) MCLIP, Deputy Health Science & Medical School Librarian, Swansea University.
HLG Bursary for MLA Conference awarded
Congratulations to Pam White, who has been awarded an HLG Bursary to attend MLA 09 - the Medical Library Association Conference to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii in May 2009. Following a visit to Kenya, Pam is hoping to present a paper on challenges facing health information access in Kenya and discuss how these challenges are being addressed.
