Welcome to the HLG website
HLG unites all those working or interested in library and information services for medical, health, nursing and other allied health professions, for people with disabilities and health problems, for those who are housebound or in residential care, and for carers and patients in hospital.
It is one of the largest Special Interest Groups within CILIP, numbering over 2000 members.

How to do that
HLG Conference 2008
The 2008 Conference will be held at Cardiff City Hall from 21st July to 22nd July 2008.
Online registration is now open for the HLG Conference to be held in Cardiff 21 -22 July 2008
The central theme of the Conference is making change work for us - how we can think strategically, demonstrate impact on health care, education and research and influence key decision makers. The full programme is availalbe on the conference website. The venue is the prestigious Cardiff City Hall, and the Conference Dinner will be held at the Millennium Stadium. The overall sponsor is the National Library for Health. Do join us for this key health information event.

HLG Business Plan 2007-8
In 2006 all HLG members were invited to complete the membership survey: 347 responses were received. While the majority of those who responded are aware of most of the Group’s activities and services, the actions of the HLG Committee and its panels for the coming year will be largely driven by the results of the survey, and will follow our key objectives of Influence, Inform, Involve.
