Gary Birkenhead
I am Gary Birkenhead and I work as a Policy and Research Officer at Scope (a national disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy). I am based in Nottingham.
I have previously worked as Librarian in the HQ of Scope in London and as a community based Information Officer working in the East Midlands, Central England and East Anglia.
I am a member of the Membership and Publicity panel of the Health Libraries Group with particular responsibility for membership issues. The membership and publicity panel is responsible for the following areas of HLG activity: prizes and awards, membership, website, general publicity, corporate identity, publications (not newsletter of journal) and co-ordinating our presence at events.
