Membership
The Health Libraries Group (HLG) is a Special Interest Group of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
Since 2004 there have been two ways to join the Health Libraries Group. If you are a member of CILIP and select the Health Libraries Group as one of your chosen Special Interest Groups, you can join HLG free of charge as one of your two free Special Interest Groups. To join more than two Special Interest Groups there is a small charge.
In 2004 we introduced Associated Membership, now called Subscribing Membership. As a Group we want to create an active and diverse membership. However, we are aware that we are not reaching all of those who could benefit from membership, especially para-professional library and information staff and/or those not in a traditional library and information role.
Subscribing Membership costs £15 per annum. The benefits include receiving a copy of the HLG newsletter, a discounted journal subscription, a discount on courses and other continuing professional development (CPD) events, attendance at HLG conferences at members discounted rate and the AGM. Subscribing Members are not eligible to be Officers (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) of the Group.
You can join the Health Libraries Group as an Subscribing Member:
