These training seminars run during 2007 were held in Central London and were organised by SCOOP (Standing Committee on Official Publications of ISG, CILIP) to develop understanding of how government information is produced and disseminated.

Audience
Seminars are intended for para-professionals and those recently qualified or changing jobs. Each seminar is complete in itself – there is a slight overlap between the content of some seminars.
No prior knowledge is assumed.

Individuals in all branches of the information professions and beyond are regularly invited to seminars, usually of one day duration but occasionally half-day, on topics relating to official publications.
Exchange of experience and training seminars already held have covered a variety of topics ranging from an overview of sources of official publications to Parliamentary information, copyright, statistics, the census, on-line and government websites.
