Inspiration for the Committee
Kate Lomax and Geoff Butters have recently been coopted on to the Group Committee. Kate is eLearning Coordinator at the London Deanery, and Geoff is a Research Associate at CERLIM, Manchester Metropolitan University. They bring a fresh perspective to the committee's work, and have already begun to contribute.

...and From Umbrella as Well
MMIT has finalised an exciting programme for July's Umbrella 2009. In collaboration with other groups, authoritative speakers will present "a shock and awe tour of library technology through the ages", aspects of Web 2.0's capacity to enhance curricula, integrated library systems, the emergence of hybrid professionals, library-museum transferable skills, Second Life communities and the challenges of digital library services.
