Biography

Antonia Byatt is Director of The Women's Library at London Metropolitan University, the largest collection of women's history in the UK.  Since the Library's move to a new building in 2003 Antonia has worked hard on increasing its public access and profile.  Previously Antonia was Head of Literature at the South Bank centre where she was responsible for the Poetry Library and the literature and cultural talks programme.

Abstract

The Women's Library has used the Inspiring Learning for All framework to create a learning centred culture in the Library and to build capacity in the staff to deliver learning programmes.  Antonia will talk about the challenges in changing the culture and the processes used to achieve it.
