Biography
Carol Dixon is a qualified teacher and information manager with 9 years experience of teaching history and geography in London secondary schools and over 7 years experience of developing education and outreach projects within the archive, library and museum sector. Prior to joining ALM London's Learning and Access Development Team in 2004 she held posts at the University of London's Institute of Education and the Institute of Commonwealth Studies - most recently as project officer for CASBAH (Caribbean Studies, Black and Asian History research project - www.casbah.ac.uk). Carol is currently responsible for the development and delivery of the regional agency's Strategic Commissioning programme, the Young Cultural Creators visual literacy scheme, the Archives and Education Innovation project and other sector-based initiatives to support children and young people's learning in the capital.
