Biography

Emma Anderson is the Project Manager for the North West Hub and is responsible for supporting the Hub museums in delivering the broad range of learning, access and collections projects that are funded through Renaissance in the Regions. Emma is in charge of monitoring how they are progressing, sharing information and best practice. The North West Hub are developing evidence of its impact and this will help lever more support in the future. Emma is also currently developing the Business Plan showing how the NW Hub will develop from 2006 onwards. She works very closely with MLA North West to implement both the Renaissance plan for the region, and the Regional Strategy for Museums & Galleries.

Prior to the Hub, Emma's career spanned both strategic cultural development - working as Visual Arts Officer for Arts Council North West, and curatorship. She was responsible for initiating and delivering wide ranging, audience focussed exhibition programmes of fine art and contemporary art, including major commissions at The Lowry - Salford Quays, the Royal Festival Hall -London; the Serpentine Gallery - London; Harris Museum & Art Gallery - Preston and Castlefield Art Gallery in Manchester.
