PLA Conference 2008

Culture Connects was the theme for the conference. It was held 8-10 October 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool.

PLG Weekend Conference 2008

This took place in the peaceful surroundings of Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire from 13th - 15th June 2008. The conference was organised in conjunction with the Branch and Mobile Libraries Group.

The title of the PLG Conference in 2008 was "Learning our Futures Today". The theme focused around the future for library services and librarians and will look at governance, staff roles, leadership and inspiration for the future.

Public Library Authorities Conference 2007

This was held between 10 - 12 October 2007
in Glasgow. The title of PLA 2008 was: Inform, Educate, Entertain - Whose role is it anyway?
The PLA Conference attracted over 270 attendees, a mixture of elected members, chief librarians, senior managers and library suppliers.
