We appreciate your feedback on any aspect of the group's activities, and we would also like to encourage group members to submit photographs for an Image of the month slot to help enliven the pages. Images can highlight any innovation, exhibition or event relating to special collections in a member's institution, and should be sent to the web editor.

Items from Manchester Libraries' Treasures Program. The program aims to increase awareness of the rare books and special collections and increase public access to them through a series of themed dispays in Manchester Central Library's historic reading room (above) and related events at community branch libraries throughout Manchester. Amongst the items that have been displayed are (below) "Bologna protected by the papacy", a red chalk drawing attributed to Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi 1608-1680, from the Grimaldi Album, and (bottom) a miniature painting on vellum showing the Spanish nobleman Juan de Espinosa and the Madonna and child, from the Carta executorial de Hidalguia, Granada, 1586.
