  • Cataloguers Reference Shelf - provides information on USMARC and subject cataloguing manuals.
  • HPB - the Hand Press Book database.
  • OCLC - including their Preservation Resources.
  • Cathedral Libraries Catalogue - books printed before 1701 in the libraries of the Anglican cathedrals of England and Wales; including a list of Latin names of printing towns.
  • Latin Place Names found in the imprints of books printed before 1801 and their vernacular equivalents in AACR2 form. Sponsored by the RBMS Bibliographic Standards Committee.
  • Early Printed Books Project - a project based at Oxford University to catalogue all books in non-Bodleian libraries printed outside Britain before 1641.
  • Aberdeen Bestiary - digitised manuscript from Aberdeen University Library.
  • The American Museum of Papermaking - a web site tracing the history, art, and science of papermaking.
  • DScriptorium of digital images of medieval manuscripts from Brigham Young University.
  • ARTFL - The project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language, including the Tres Riches Heures.
  • The Canterbury Tales - a digital imaging project based at De Montfort University to make available images of the pre-1500 manuscript and printed texts.
  • Hypnerotomachia Poliphili - a web version of the 1499 typographical masterpiece printed by Aldus Manutius
  • The COOL Dictionary of Conservation and Book Binding Terms - a dictionary of descriptive terminology.
  • The Bookbinding Manual - a bookbinding tutorial.
  • Book History Online - BHO is a database in English on the history of the printed book and libraries, containing titles of books and articles on the history of the printed book worldwide.
  • Library and Archival Exhibitions on the web - features links to online exhibitions that have been created by libraries, archives, and historical societies, as well as to museum online exhibitions with a significant focus on library and archival materials; maintained by the Smithsonian.
  • List of selected digital facsimile sites maintained by Early Printed Collections, British Library.
  • Digital books about books - site hosted by Oak Knoll linking to a useful selection of digitised texts in the areas of bibliography, bookbinding, typography, book design, history of the book, etc.
  • British book trade index - index of the names and brief biographical details and trade details of people who worked in the book trade in England and Wales and who were trading by 1851; maintained at the University of Birmingham.
  • Scottish book trade index - an index of printers, publishers, booksellers, bookbinders, printmakers, stationers and papermakers based in Scotland, from the beginnings of Scottish printing to ca. 1850; maintained by the National Library of Scotland.
  • Bibliopolis - a national history of the printed book in the Netherlands; databases of images, people, collections, auctions and more
